I have experience in killing ants by spraying them with Windex and then their subsequent disappearance. Try it - spray the ants with Windex, go to bed and when you wake up in the morning no more dead ants! I have always assumed that their comrades came and carried them away. I have started using more environmentally cleaners and did not have any Windex so I bought a eco-friendly ant killer (oxymoron, no?!) and to my dismay they dead ants did not move. What really is going on? Is there a grieving process with the rest of the ant colony, is it chemical reaction or is it some other creature enjoying ants marinated in Windex?
