What Is The Best Way To Get Rid Of Ants?

I have woken this morning to find ants everywhere in my kitchen!! I have 3 kids so don't really want to put powder down. Is there a natural alternative or a household product that the ants dislike?

I know powder does not seem to be good for you, but if you go outside and along the wall where the kitchen is place a think line of ant powder and then sweep it in, this usually will stop them coming into the kitchen. It’s OK I know the hassle I’ve got a cat and kids, but I don’t like the ants either. I have just done mine the other day, the same thing happened to me as well. It worked like a treat and you can’t even see the powder.

I have the same problem at work, my desk is infested with them! And because i work in a holiday park reception i don’t really want to have powder everywhere as i have guests coming in and out and it wouldn’t look very nice! At the moment i am just having to flick them off with my pen until my boss decides to go out and get something to get rid of them!

first of all put powder around the outside of your house to stop anymore getting in then put an open jar of treacle/jam on the floor but out of the way and leave it for a bit . when its covered in ants just sprinkle some ant powder on it and leave it for an hr and dispose of them. that should get rid of a lrge proportion of them then you could try it again or squash the rest when you see them.

    Try some of these pageshttp://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=n…
But i bought a spray called Raid for crawling insect,(red can), when my daughter had ants in her kitchen (it smells really strong at first), i sprayed it across the door frame and where i thought they were coming in and where i had seen them. She never saw any after that. i also took it on holiday, we were on sunbeds and ants were all around us, couldn’t even put a can of coke down as ants were all over it, i went to our room and got the spray, sprayed the floor around our sunbeds and we were free from ants all day, everyone else were pestered with them but not us.
