What Is The Best Way To Get Rid Of Ants Without Harsh Chemicals?
I have tried those ant traps, but they don't truly help. I am keeping my house as clean as possible, but they are still everywhere (small ants).

Chalk, they do no like it. Place bits and pieces around ant trails. It comes in a verity of colors.
exterminator..or try the more expensive traps. I think there like the gel ones and there about $8.00.
Like, you, I have to watch out for chemicals: I have a pair of cats and the male will play with anything he can get his paws on.
I got this from another writer on Yahoo Answers, and it does work:
2 tablespoons borax
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
Mix everything together in a container you can put a lid on until the sugar and borax dissolve. Dip bread crusts in the solution and leave them where you see the ants. The ants will swarm all over the baits and eat them, and carry it back to their nests. Within a couple of days you should have no more ants.
Good luck!
bay leaves
i have heard that sprinkling cinnamon in your entryway, windowsills, anywhere ants come in deters them from entering.
Try sugar and baking soda. Sugar will attract the ants. The baking soda will cause them to “explode” and die. Bugs can’t digest baking soda. It expands and ruptures their bodies.
Mix an equal part of each and spread outside the house where they are entering. You can also spread baking soda inside where you find the ants. Don’t use the sugar inside since it will still attract ants.
If they are marching in a straight line accross your living area, clean the area. Ants leave a trail for others to follow.
Baby powder was an answer just a few days ago for the same question. They suggested a squeeze bottle pouring the baby power in to it and go along the inside of the home where the ants are coming in and baseboards and outside around the foundation. Baby powder is inexpensive and harmless to humans and pets.
