DOD Pest Management Inspection Form
A typical DOD pest management inspection form is a complicated form with many different areas that need to be filled out.
This should be no surprise as the government tends to formulate everything in order to achieve the highest bureaucracy level possible. The DOD pest management program exists to protect property, natural resources, and people's health from damage due to infestation.
A DOD pest management inspection form is required because careful records have to be kept in regards to pest management. In case something goes wrong, it is important that government personnel have access to previous records so that they can make new recommendations and analyze past decisions. DOD pest management inspection forms have to indicate the use of various pesticides, industrial accidents, and complications due to human exposure. These forms are kept as hardcopy and are also stored in computer files.
The pesticides that the DOD uses have to meet strict government regulations in regards to safety and effectiveness. There are two specific forms. The DD form 1532 and the DD form 1532-1. Since pesticides are expensive chemicals and can also be harmful, the DOD is serious about keeping track of all of these chemicals and storage and each time these chemicals are used.
These records must be kept at all levels of government, from the highest positions to the lowest. There is one condition where pest management inspection forms do not have to be utilized. If a member of the military is using pesticides in his or her own home or property, they adhere to the laws that apply to regular citizens. All of these records fall under the jurisdiction of the Army pest management program.
