I was awakened two nights ago at three am by my husband's report, "We have a mouse." The next morning, I researched this item on amazon, then purchased it from a local retailer, brought it home & set it according to CF's thorough recommendations. Six hours later, I got the little bugger. This is a great trap. Works perfectly!

This product is FANTASTIC! It only requires 2 AA batteries and a small amount of peanut butter placed on the interior wall of the unit. I periodically check the trap throughout the day. Because the green light flashes for 24 hours after a mouse has been caught, there is no need to worry about a mouse rotting and stinking before I know about it. After a mouse is caught, you just flip the power off, open the lid and tip the trap over to dump the dead mouse into the trash--NEVER having to touch the dead mouse. I caught 7 mice within 48 hours with two traps!!!!

5 Stars Mouse Terminator
I had originally picked up the live capture mouse trap (the translucent green house), which worked on occasion until it broke three weeks after I bought it. Then the mice came back and we declared war. I still didn't want to use poison or glue traps because they are unnecessarily cruel so I went with this trap, which I found to be a decent balance between live capture and a relatively quick death.

The good news is after only two days we have caught 5 mice. This thing works. just throw in some peanut butter and batteries and let it go. The light even blinks when it kills a mouse.

Purchased 2 of these to add to 2 purchased 4 years ago and the older two were still working and catching. One of the older ones was retired due to a broken cover. Great to put in your car if you aren't driving often.

Easy to set - easy to clean. Highly recommend.

1 Star Mouse fodder!
I had very high hopes for this product. It seemed well designed and constructed, however it failed to live up to the product's claim of a "quick, humane kill" and claim of construction that prevents the mouse from escaping in the event it is not killed. A green light on the top of the trap flashes when a kill has been made, and the green light was flashing, so I fully expected the product to have done its job. However, when I opened the trap I discovered that the mouse had not been killed and had, in fact, chewed through the inner baffles that "prevent" the mouse from escaping, and the mouse got back into the walls. So, after having spent nearly $20 on this product and having had it fail, I wrote to the manufacturer to complain. They would not issue a refund without a receipt within 30 days (I had bought the product several months before actually needing it), and they would not replace the product unless I paid to ship it back to them (I did not want a replacement for a product that does not work anyway). My follow-up letter to the manufacturer asking for reimbursement went unanswered. I did not have a good experience with this product or its manufacturer and would not recommend it.
