P3 International Vibrasonic Mole Chaser P7906

P3 International Vibrasonic Mole Chaser P7906

The strongest in the company's line of rodent-irritators, the P3 International P7906 Vibrasonic Molechaser evacuates moles by emitting a penetrating sound that sets the rodents' sensitive hearing on edge. Operating in a circular pattern of 130 feet, the Vibrasonic Molechaser also chases off ground squirrels, shrews, voles, pocket mice, and gophers. It won't harm the rodents or your earthworms or your pets; it won't even harm your lawnmower, because you can bury it flush with the ground. At 1-3/4 inches in diameter and 16 inches long, the anodized aluminum Vibrasonic Molechaser doesn't require an excavation of your garden, and you can replace the four D-cell batteries--approximately once every 4 to 6 months--without digging it up. The device gives off 300 Hz of sound at 8-second intervals and works best in unobstructed, moist clay soil. If soil is dry, sandy, or peat soil, you may need a couple of Molechasers to get rid of moles for good. --Emily Bedard

5 Stars It worked for me but with a strange result
I wish I knew why so many people didn't get any relief with these electronic chasers. I've used two different brands in two different yards and they worked perfectly both times. However, something strange happened this past weekend. Laying right next to one of the chaser was a baby rattlesnake. As one reviewer noted, the electronic sound does resemble that of a rattlesnake. Not sure if junior was thinking it was Mom or a competitor. And while I'm glad the moles are gone, if I ever see another rattlesnake, I'm taking these devices and throwing them away!

1 Star What a waste
I bought one of these, put it in the ground and it has had no effect on the gophers. Holes are popping up all around it.

3 Stars MoleChaser
Purchased the product in hopes that it would atleast thwart the mole problem, and it didnt. It did however, slow down activity in the area around the device. It did not completely get rid of the problem. The moles seemed to dig just a few feet past the device and around the area.

The device is sturdy and lasts longer than expected on the D cell batteries. I still have it in my yard and will keep it there to hopefully deter any other moles from digging in.

5 Stars works better than expected!
I had some doubts after reading all the prior reviews on this product. Just one of these worked perfectly! The moles stopped producing piles of dirt within a week and there were no signs of them until 4 months later. Replaced the batteries, and the moles are gone again--or, at least not producing visible signs of infestation. My soil is mostly clay with sand and is firm...loose soil requires more of these because the vibrations travel less.

2 Stars Disappointment
I have used the product before with modest success. However, I now have two in my front yard, and they now seem to attract moles and gophers rather than repel them - I have a new burrow this morning right NEXT to the still beeping molechaser! Will call an exterminator this weekend.
